To locate information on graduate schools and the graduate
school experience, consult all available resources, both print and online.
There are many excellent print directories, guides to scholarships and
grants, handbooks for writing the successful thesis/dissertation. There
is also a growing body of Internet sources, especially in the areas of
funding assistance, the application process, writing the thesis/dissertation,
and general survival handbooks. This represents a selected group of Web
